This time of year my lips take a beating and regardless of the amount of lip balm I use I still feel the capped, cracked lips. Just like the rest of your skin, the skin on and around your lips need exfoliation every so often.
With Mother’s Day less than 2 weeks away, the ideas of what to get Mom can be daunting and overwhelming. I myself like more personalized gifts, and something that lasts longer than a few days (like flowers or chocolates). I think it makes the gift that much more special because you took the time to find something unique for them. When I was approached by Salt Marketplace to review their Mother’s Day Gift Set – Mini Artisan Cheese and Bread Board, I couldn’t have been happier.
Salt Marketplace offers vintage artisan cheese and bread boards. Perfect for family, wedding, corporate dinner events as well as party favors and marketing merchandise. Their products are handmade from all natural materials. The owner, Cadie, grew up in a family of seven children, and her mother would make homemade bread and jam weekly to keep her large family fed (8-10 loaves a week). One of her most fondest memories is walking in the font door and smelling her Mom’s baking bread.
Cadie wanted to continue the tradition of building homes with products that add that same sense of warmth and security that her and her family felt growing up. The artisan bread and cheese boards are made of 100% natural pine and poplar woods. They are both decorative and functional and designed by Salt Marketplace! Each design reflects a vintage style that adds character to your table spread. Their customers love the option of engraving each of their boards with a personalized image/name/initial etc. It adds that extra hom-e” feel to your board and table setting. They hope their bread boards will add to your fondest memories as you sit around the table enjoying dinner with those close to you. Salt Marketplace even includes her Mom’s secret recipes of homemade bread with each board.
Now in the Mother’s Day Gift Set – Mini Artisan Cheese and Bread Board that I reviewed, I not only received the houndstooth engraved board but also a Birch cheese knife, 1.5 oz gift wrapped jar of natural honey, and Salt Marketplace fry bread and honey butter recipe. I havent had a chance to make the fry bread and honey butter recipe, but have tasted the honey (I am a HUGE fan of honey), and have used the board – and can not wait to use this at my next gathering. I was throughly impressed by the package but inside and out, and the product themselves – well worth the $30!!
My friends over at Salt Marketplace have been extremely generous and wanted to share a Mother’s Day special with my readers. Those that order the Mother’s Day Gift Set – Mini Artisan Cheese and Bread Board that I have reviewed, use coupon code MOTHERSDAY2014 at checkout and you will receive the gift set for $19.99 + shipping.

When it comes to the holiday season (or any season) having the smell of a homemade coffee cake baking and enjoying a hot cup of coffee brings joy to my face. Today especially with the first snow fall of the year headed our way, makes it an even better excuse to bake one and enjoy sitting by the fire and finishing decorating the Christmas Tree.
I wanted to share with you the recipe that I love so much, it hopes you can enjoy it yourself today. The ingredients for the cake are super easy, and you probably already have them in your home.
I’d love to know what you think. Enjoy!!
