When Face Masks Review

Sheet skincare masks have been a new favorite of mine of late. They are typically simple to apply, easy to use and dont take to long. Using masks like this are also great because they cause you to sit and relax, which nowadays is hard to do. When I was approached by When Masks to try a few of their masks, I was excited to say the least.

When Masks, are created and formulate in Korea – and are part of what is now known as KBeauty a great new rise in beauty/skincare. Many of these products are innovative and work wonders. When Masks are just that they, take the typically sheet masks you find and take them a step further. Typical sheet masks are made of fabric or pulp and are surrounded by serum product – When Masks use Bio-Cellulose sheets that are made of coconuts, a gel like texture that adhears to the skin much nicer and allows the product to penetrate the skin more efficiently.

When offers 5 different sheet masks, with different reasons of skincare need in mind. I was given 10:00PM & Travelmate masks. The 10:00PM mask is meant to rejuvenate and restore skin while Travelmate is to refresh skin. The mask is soft and jelly like when placed on the skin, and offers a cooling effect. The 10:00PM is infused with coconut juice and contains hyaluronic acid and ginseng extracts to keep skin healthy, and watermelon extract and collagen to improve skin elasticity.

I love that not only do these masks work, they are paraben/sulfate/phthalate free; also vegan and gluten free. I enjoyed the cooling sensation and the hydration that the mask gave my skin. I highly suggest you give it a try, and see for yourself how different these sheet masks are from others on the market.

When offers 5 unique masks: Travelmate, 10PM, Snow Magic, Glamour Base, and The Last Choice. You can find these masks at: Sephora, Ulta Beauty, Anthroplogie (online), Birchbox (online), and Rickys NYC.

PCA Skin – Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel Review

For me as I get older, I take extreme care of my skin including my delicate eye area. Trying to remove any signs of fine lines and wrinkles as little as possible, or finding a product that delivers has become a bit of a search for me. When I was approached by PCA Skin to try our there Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel, I was ready to take the challenge.

PCA Skin has been and continues to be a trusted innovator in the development of highly effective professional treatments and daily care products. Their vision is to improve peoples lives by providing results-oriented skincare solutions for the health of everyones unique skin.

The Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel, treats dark circles, puffiness, wrinkles, and sagging eyelids with the impressive blend of peptides, growth factor and stem cell extract in a lightweight gel. This unique product uses the latest science to combine proven ingredients in a single formulation that can be applied directly to all areas of the eye, including the eyelid. Results seen in as little as one week.

I have been using this product for about for a little over 2 weeks, and love the results so far. Its lightweight, and easy to use. Very little of the product is needed and when applied dries relatively fast – perfect for warmer weather months with the gel formula. I love the fact that you can use this over the entire eye area including the eyelid, many products you aren’t able to do that. Product works great morning or night, and for daytime use lays wonderfully under makeup. I have noticed a few results in my eye area, however nothing drastic as it isn’t such a problematic area for me. I believe with continued use of this, I will be able to see more results. I would definitely try this product again, and also try out the cream version during the colder, winter months for more moisture.

I highly suggest you take a look for yourself at this product if your not the search for a eye gel, or others from their skincare line. MAKE Beauty | Review

When it comes to beauty products I have my fair share. I read review (much like the this one your reading) and I do my own research. Finding products that work, aren’t going to cost too much, and aren’t bad for you are my main focus points when it comes to makeup. I also like finding products that are made locally, helping the nearby economy. So when I was given the opportunity to try a local brand, MAKE, I was ready for the challenge.

MAKE is a beauty company based out of New York City. They believe that beauty has no rules, and everyone has their own artistic approach. Be inspired, whimsical, outgoing, outspoken, intelligent, and confident. The products are sourced without parabens, and are not tested on animals. They also donate 10% of sales to the We See Beauty Foundation, supporting women-lead, worker-owned cooperative businesses across the Americas.

The product lines they offer are the typically; Beauty (face, eyes, lips, cheeks) & Skincare (cleansers, toners, moisturizers). I was lucky enough to try to products from their beauty line (pictured below). I received the Matte Finish Eyeshadow in Alabaster and Silk Cream Lipstick in Taffy.

The Matte Finish Eyeshadow in Alabaster is a soft eggshell with peach undertones, perfect base shadow for most any look. The shadow was extremely velvety on the skin, and had great pigmentation. Vitamins C & E are amongst the ingredients in the shadow and help to provide antioxidant protection on the delicate eye area. This can be used either wet or dry. Being my skin tone is a little pale at the moment from the winter it was a bit hard to notice the color, however I think once I do get a little color this Summer this would be a great go to for a fresh swipe of color across the eyelid.

The Silk Cream Lipstick in Taffy was is a medium pink with purple undertones, I was classify this as one of the go to lipstick colors choices in the mauve family. The lipstick has vivid color, and was very creamy. Rosehip, Soybean, Safflower Oils are amongst the ingredients in the lipstick and help to provide a protective moisturizing treatment. The lipsticks are feather resistant and true to color. As you can see for the swatch I took below, this color is very pretty even though I am fair-skinned at the moment. A great color tone for most everyone I think, and it was nice how it wasn’t heavy or drying on the lips.

In all I was pleasantly surprised by the company and products as a whole. Plus the cute packaging didn’t hurt either. I look forward to sampling more of their products soon. Valentia True Glow Eye Cream & Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask – Review

Skin care for me has become more of a important thing as I have gotten older. Of course skin concerns change with age but preventive care is the best to help lessen the impending signs of aging (and stress).  When I was given the opportunity to try out some key skin care products from Valentia, I was prepared to be amazed.

True Glow Eye Cream

The first product I was given to try was the True Glow Eye Cream. Ok I’ll be honest I have a zillion eye creams, finding one that works is hard for me. Some are better at night for treatments, others work better in the day and work perfectly under makeup. This eye cream was the perfect consistency in my eyes (haha good pun). Light enough for daytime wear, laid nicely under makeup and didn’t leave a residue – absorbed into skin almost immediately. I also have lovely dark circles and my blue veins show, no matter how much water I intake daily it is just something herititary I deal with. This helped the thin, delicate skin under my eyes adding moisture and hydration so that those lines weren’t as visible. I also really love that not only are the ingredients simple (including Vitamin C, and Organic Rosehip Oil), it’s made in the USA (love that!)

Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask

The other product I was given to try was the Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask. Now I have see the buzz all over the Internet with all the new products out there that are said to give you the youthful skin back. This was is definitely one that should be on your radar. With the list of ingredients (including Organic Rosehip Oil, Sea Buckthorn Oil, Vitamin E and COQ10) this mask packs a punch. You can use this daily and it only takes 15-20 minutes before you rinse off. There is a slight tingle from the mask once applied but nothing like some masks on the market. The hydration it provides your skin is more then just on the surface but the cellular level beneath. After removing the mask I noticed a plump, glowing complexion. I think with continued use of this the results would be substantial.
In all I was beyond impressed with these products and this company. The ingredient lists are amazing, it’s produced in the USA (another plus) and more over the products deliver. I can not wait to try other items from this company.

                          Happy Pampering!!

Cheers to You VoxBox – Review

I don’t know about you but with the onset of Spring (or for what some of us hope to be) I love getting to try new products. The  New Year, is all about a fresh start. So being chosen for the #CHEERSTOYOU VoxBox was definitely a special treat. As you can see from the below picture I received quite an array of products choices. The box included the following:

First off the Suave Shampoo & Conditioner, now I am very partial to the products that I use. No parabens, no sulfates – especially in the hair and body care products I use. These products smelled good and did deliver decent results, but I honestly couldn’t wrap my head around the list of ingredients. For the professional product that this is compared to the ingredients are night and day. I would honestly spend the money and buy the professional salon product just for that reason. But it’s definitely worth a try, if you’re looking to add some volume to your hair.

Next off Dr Teal’s Epsom Salt, now I have used this product before but in a different scent (Eucalyptus & Spearmint) – so I may be partial be these are great soaking solutions in my opinion. They are great to relax not only your sore tired muscles, but also the scents help you unwind. I have used these in the tub, in my foot bath, and sometimes if I am in a crunch for time but my feet are sore I will plug up the shower throw some in and let me feet soak a bit before going on with my shower. These are by far a feel a must try product, and you can pick them up at almost of stores.

Way Better Snacks, now I have tried this companies chips before and they are good. I was a bit skeptical at first with this flavor, bit I was blown away. Just the right bit of heat, so satisfying. I have been on the hunt to track down where I can buy these locally, because they were that good. Plus you can feel better about snacking, knowing these chips contain flax-seed, chia seeds and quinoa, not bad for a chip if I do say so myself.

Now quite honestly, I haven’t tried the other 3 items included in the box yet. But I will write from my perspective.

  • Hormel Taco Meat, from my gathering these meats are 100% natural, fresh and fully cooked – something I know is a good thing for last-minute meals (anything during the week to save me some time so I can sit down, is a plus). They also come already seasoned, so that cuts your preparation time down to 1/2 (win!).
  • Yaye App, from my understanding this is great for accountability for your health and fitness regime. You create small groups of family and friends on this app, and you can chat, share progress and encourage each other along the way. Definitely something I will check out shortly, and you should check out. It’s always good having motivation.
  • Last but not least, sticking with the healthy you new year theme, is Peony & Me discount. I have briefly glanced on the site and am pretty impressed on the style offerings (trendy workout attire). I know another huge motivation for me when I am getting back into my healthy workout routine is looking good while doing it, so adding a few new pieces may make it just that much easier to do your daily workout.

That was it, in all the products were pretty well centered around the New You New Year theme, a fresh start is always good and trying out new products is even better.
